Comparing Cost Per Print

Copier companies always make sure that they always get a monthly revenue from the prints of their various clients. This is where a lot of different businesses make a lot of mistakes that end up costing them a lot of unnecessary money. Companies try to treat the amount of prints they pay for each month like a cell phone plan and the minutes they pay for. They end up paying a lot of extra money for prints that they don’t end up needing. Here is one example that we recently came across:

A medical company that we started working with paid $500 each month so that they could have up to 80,000 prints per month. This meant (if they used all of those prints) that they were only paying $0.00625 per copy which is a ridiculously low late. Of course they didn’t use this many prints per month – if they would have the copier company would not have been able to afford this. But, instead they only used about 35,000 prints per month, so they were actually paying about $0.0142 per page. This is why it makes a lot more sense to pay for the amount that you will actually use.
